What's Your Finance Training Need?

    Organisations consider finance training for a number of reasons, for example:

  •        Staff can’t talk the “language of finance”
  •        Companies wish to be making more profit
  •        Not-for-profit organisations want to make their services more
           efficient and effective
  •        Staff appraisals show that there is a need for ‘financial awareness’
  •        Budget holders, or those who are about to become budget holders
           need training in the use of monthly accounts
  •        Small and medium sized enterprises need to produce business plans
           and set up monthly accounting systems
  •        New finance systems are introduced and staff need to be trained
           how to use them

    Why me?

    The first thought of the person commissioning the training is that they should
    approach their own accountants.  This is logical, and when it works, is the best
    solution.  So why do organisations use me?

    The problem

    There are two major problems with asking your own accountants to design,
    deliver and present finance training:

    •        They may not have the time
    •        Often they are not experienced trainers

    So where do I come in?

    The solution

    I am both a Chartered Accountant and an experienced Finance Trainer, and I
    can work with your organisation to develop effective and relevant finance
    training materials.  These will address your organisational objectives using non-
    confidential examples of internal paperwork, such as budgets and management
    accounts.  

    The delivery is at a time and place to suit, but crucially, I will make the training
    as lively, informative and entertaining as possible.  

    Afterwards, I follow up, to make sure that the training achieved what it was
    supposed to do.
